DDCP drills for Lima (Aboitiz Group of companies); Tapped for DOE Geothermal Study

Lipa City, Batangas – Lima (Aboitiz Group of Companies) awarded its water-well drilling project to Diamond Drilling Corporation of the Philippines.

Outbidding other drillers, DDCP clinched Lima Land’s water-well drilling projects in Malvar, Batangas. The company mobilized its two (2) surface drills (LF 230 and LF 90D) to site towards the end of 2015.

Said project entails one drill hole of 240m depth for Lima Land Incorporated, and one drill hole of 280m depth for Lima Water Corporation, to be done simultaneously in Batangas and is expected to be completed in March 2016. Drilling results would aid the client on its venture to look for additional water sources for economic business expansions. Hence, early this 2016, DDCP commenced scheduled drilling operations for Lima Land Incorporated, spearheaded by Engineer Jester Paul K. Foronda.

Similarly, the Department of Energy (DOE) awarded to DDCP the Drilling Consultancy Services for Integrated Geoscientific Study prospecting geothermal projects in the provinces of Camiguin, Cagayan, and Palawan, respectively. Dr. Bernardo M. Barcelona is leading the technical consultants and experts for this project. The initial work phase started in late 2015, and the work study is expected to be completed late 2016.
